PRODUCTION
Controlled at every stage.
Drawing on many years of knowledge in the mining sector, Grindballs manufactures high-quality steel balls with high hardness and strength for grinding processes involving gold, silver, copper, zinc, aluminium, lead, iron, chromium, calcite, coal, cement and autoclaved aerated concrete.
Our production lines are equipped with PLC-controlled full automation. Our advanced production technology provides high production capacity.
Heating and Rolling
Rolling temperature is reached quickly and efficiently using a high-capacity induction system and a natural-gas furnace. Heated steel bars pass through the induction system without manual contact and are formed to the required diameter tolerance by two rotating dies.
Production Capacity
Our five separate production lines can produce up to 12 tonnes per hour.
Packaging and Raw Material
According to customer requirements, steel balls are packed in steel drums or big bags, providing advantages in transport, storage and loading at the operating site.
The alloyed carbon-steel bars used to manufacture the balls are sourced, under standards defined by Grindballs, from Hasçelik Group companies and accredited first-class producers.
Continuous Heat Treatment
To achieve the required mechanical properties, the steel balls are heat-treated on fully automated, continuous production lines.
