Purpose and Scope
The Grindballs Business Ethics Principles define the fundamental ethical standards that employees, managers, suppliers and all business partners acting on behalf of the company must follow in their decisions and conduct. These principles complement applicable law and company policies and procedures.
Integrity and Transparency
We act with honesty, integrity, reliability and transparency in all business relationships. We keep records accurately, completely and on time, and do not permit misleading statements, fraud or the concealment of information.
Compliance with Law and Human Rights
We comply with the laws of the countries in which we operate, internationally recognised human-rights principles and labour standards. We reject discrimination, harassment, forced labour and child labour, and support a fair, inclusive and respectful workplace.
Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption
We have zero tolerance for bribery, corruption, facilitation payments or improper benefits. Gifts and hospitality are acceptable only when reasonable, transparent, consistent with a legitimate business purpose and incapable of influencing decisions.
Managing Conflicts of Interest
We disclose without delay any situation in which personal interests conflict, or appear to conflict, with company interests. We do not use company assets, resources or information obtained through our duties for personal benefit.
Confidentiality and Information Security
We use personal data, trade secrets and confidential information belonging to employees, customers, suppliers and business partners only within our authority and for legitimate business needs. We protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and loss.
Fair Competition and Business Relationships
We comply with competition rules and do not make misleading or unfair statements about competitors or business partners. Supplier and customer decisions are based on objective criteria, quality, reliability and mutual benefit.
Occupational Health, Safety and the Environment
Providing a safe and healthy working environment is a shared responsibility. We report risks, follow safety rules and work to use natural resources efficiently and reduce environmental impacts.
Reporting and Non-Retaliation
Suspected violations of these principles or the law should be reported in good faith to managers or through the company’s authorised reporting channels. Retaliation, pressure or discrimination against a person making a good-faith report is not accepted. Reports are reviewed confidentially and impartially.
Responsibility
Every employee is responsible for knowing and applying these principles. Managers are responsible for setting an example, answering questions and assessing possible violations. Violations are reviewed under applicable law and company procedures, and appropriate corrective action is taken.
